VideoEdge™ 4 Channel IP Encoder v1.02 Upgrade

This software is used to upgrade VideoEdge™ 4 Channel IP Encoder units. Please read carefully the following important information before attempting to upgrade your encoder. For detailed descriptions of the new features in this upgrade, refer to the Release Notes.

Features

VideoEdge 4 Channel IP encoder v1.02 upgrade provides several new features which include:

  • Deinterlacing filter - an image processing technique that performs frame to frame analysis for motion detection, and corrects the jagged motion edges into continuous data stream. This new feature is included to improve the video data display of motion at high resolution encoder settings.
  • Encoder localization into English, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish.
  • Improvements in access of camera controls and camera communication protocols.

Download and Installation Instructions

  • For upgrading and operating instructions, please refer to the VideoEdge™ 4 Channel IP Encoder User Guide.
  • In order to achieve optimal system performance, it is highly recommended that the Intellex IP connected to the encoder is running the latest Intellex IP software, v4.17.

Download Instructions:

  1. On a PC equipped with a removable media, download and save the software below to your local hard drive and/or laptop or PC directly connected to the IP Encoder

Installation Instructions:

Note: Performing this upgrade will result in all saved configuration settings being removed and the IP Encoder will be restored to the default factory settings (including the IP address, username and password). It is therefore important to back up the configuration data file prior to upgrade, and then restore the configuration after the upgrade has been completed.

  1. From the encoder Front page, select Backup Config
  2. Select Save from the pop up dialog box
  3. Select the appropriate location and enter a file name for the configuration file. Then select Save.
