Intellex Ultra, DVMS, LT, IP v4.17 Upgrade

This software is used to upgrade Intellex Ultra, DVMS, LT, or IP running v4.10. 4.11, 4.12, 4.13, 4.14, 4.16 software to v4.17. Please carefully read the following important information before attempting to upgrade your Intellex system. For detailed description of the new features in this upgrade, refer to the Release Notes.

To determine the current version of your software, click Utility, then click About Intellex. If the version of your software is 4.1x.xx, then you can install this upgrade.

Intellex Ultra Upgrade to v4.17 – Intellex Ultra users who wish to upgrade to v4.17 may encounter video loss when they upgrade to v4.17. In order to prevent any potential video loss, it is recommended that all customers intending to upgrade to v4.17 on an Ultra unit should install the Intellex_VideoLoss_Patch.msi prior to the v4.17 installation on an Intellex Ultra unit. Please note that this applies only to Intellex Ultra upgrades to v4.17. Please see TB# 00156-00-080609 for additional information.

Features

Intellex v4.17 provides several new features including:

  • Support for additional language translations
  • Additional AXIS IP camera handler functionality
  • Improved Activity Log traceability
  • VideoEdge® IP Encoder compatibility for Intellex IP in multiple languages

Note: Intellex IP v4.17 is intended to be used with VideoEdge IP Encoder v1.02 which is available on the American Dynamics website.

Licensing

This software is protected with a license key. The license key that enabled your current Intellex software v4.1x will also enable this update. Do not uninstall the previous version of software or delete any files before performing this installation.

Download and Installation Instructions - Use these instructions to download and install the updates to your Intellex unit.

Note: Intellex v4.17 is designed to be compatible with Network Client v4.17 or later.

Intellex v4.17 software patch – Please note that a software patch has been created to address issues found in Intellex v4.17. Please click here for additional information about the Intellex v4.17 software patch and instructions on how to download this patch.

Download Instructions:

  1. On a PC equipped with a removable media, download and save the software below to your local hard drive.
  2. Copy the file to a CD or USB flash drive for installation onto Intellex.

Installation Instructions:

  1. Exit the Intellex application by clicking on Utility, Exit. Then type in the Exit PIN.
  2. Insert the media with the software update into the Intellex unit.
  3. Double click on the My Computer icon.
  4. Double click on the media device with the Intellex software update.
  5. Double click on the update file.
  6. Follow the instructions as the installation program installs the update.
  7. When the installation is complete, the installation program will automatically shut down or reboot Intellex.
  8. Restart Intellex.
  9. Download the most recent update for DVD/CD drives from the American Dynamics website.
  10. Double click on the DVD/CD update. Follow the instructions as the installation program installs the update.
  11. Restart Intellex.
