Intellex^®  VACD Card Updates

The following software downloads are to be used when replacing an Intellex VACD card. To determine which updates are required please refer to the matrix below:

Which update do I need?

VACD Card Update 1:

Download Instructions:

1. Download and save the software seen below to your local hard drive.
2. Double-click the SB_041502.exe file to open the self-extracting archive.
3. The default "Unzip to directory" is "C:\VACD_Update_Files". To select another location, click "Browse" and navigate to the folder of your choosing.
4. Click "Unzip" to unzip the archive.
5. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
6. Click "Close" to exit WinZip.
7. Locate the directory in which the unzipped files were saved and copy the contents of the directory to a blank 3.5" floppy diskette.
8. Transfer the floppy disk to the Intellex.
9. Copy INX.OUT to the C:\WINDOWS\INTELLEX folder.
10. Copy NTLXVTM.VXD to the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder.
11. When prompted to replace the existing files, answer Yes.

VACD Card Update 2:

The VACD board part number 0301-1101-03 requires a new driver file when replacing a VACD board part number 0301-1101-01 or 0301-1101-02 in a system using Intellex software version 3.0 or higher. This is necessary because the TriMedia chip has a new PCI identification and Windows 2000 requires the new driver to recognize it.

Download Instructions:

1. Click on the link below to download the utility to your computer.
2. Copy the utility to a blank, formatted floppy disk for installation onto the Intellex.
3. Proceed with the installation as outlined in the VACD Board Driver Update Installation Instructions.
