AD2088 Series Full-System Keyboard

The AD2088 series of keyboards are robust, full-function system keyboards that are available in desktop and rack mount versions, and are compatible with the MegaPower 1024 and MegaPower 48 Matrix Switcher/Controller Systems. The keyboard features full-travel keys that provide a true tactile feel. Dedicated keys provide for user log-on, intuitive site and monitor/recorder selection, and camera or salvo call-up. All system activities, including tours and alarms, can be controlled directly from the keyboard.

The AD2088 provides user-defined macro keys that allow for ease-of-use, even with the most complex and demanding installations. Each operator can customize his or her own keyboard to perform a multitude of system tasks via simple, easy to remember keystrokes intuitive to that operator.

The keyboard is shipped with a set of labels - both application-specific and user-definable - that affix directly to the macro keys on the keyboard. These labels can denote any camera view, camera location, and/or system function. The keyboard also offers recorder control for VCRs and digital video recorders.

The keyboard's vector-solving, twist-action joystick provides one-handed control of the selected fixed or variable-speed pan/tilt or dome. The joystick also provides zoom control of motorized lenses. The push-button at the top of the joystick enables users to quickly flip a dome 180° for uninterrupted surveillance of subjects who pass directly underneath the dome.

Keys are provided for control of motorized lens functions (iris and focus) and activation of user-programmable presets, patterns and auxiliaries.

The LED display window indicates the currently selected site, monitor or recorder, and camera, as well as the numbers entered from the keypad.

The keyboard's internal beeper sounds for five seconds upon receipt of an alarm. It has adjustable baud rates to properly match the keyboard to the network and matrix switcher/controller system, and a self-test mode to verify both hardware and software operation of the communications port, LEDs, joystick, beeper, and memory.
