Alarm Accessories (AD2096 & AD2032)

The AD2096 series Alarm Interface Unit converts 64 hardwire alarm inputs to AD alarm contact numbers for use by American Dynamics Matrix Switcher/Controller systems. The matrix switcher/controller systems can be programmed to automatically switch video inputs to video outputs, display presets, and activate auxiliary outputs in response to activated alarm inputs. A single Form C relay and LED indicate when any of the 64 alarm contacts are activated. DIP switches are used to select alarm input groups (in blocks of 64), to set acceptance of normally-open or normally-closed alarms (in groups of eight), and to set the baud rate of the RS-232 link. Multiple units can be cascaded on a single RS-232 system port. The universal mount enables the unit to be mounted to the front or rear of equipment racks, or flat on a wall or horizontal surface.

The AD2032 series Alarm Responder provides 32 addressable double pole Form A relays arranged in two groups of 16. The Alarm Responder provides relay contact closures for corresponding video outputs that are displaying alarm actions. Each relay group can be programmed to respond to two separate groups of 16 contiguous video outputs. Relays can activate VCRs, annunciators, or other external alarm associated devices. The unit is used with MegaPower™ series Matrix Switcher/Controller Systems via High-Speed Data Line or AD Manchester code line. The universal mount enables the unit to be mounted to the front or rear of equipment racks, or flat on a wall or horizontal surface.
