Intellex IP Overview

What is IP Video?

In a nutshell, IP video is simply a method for transmitting images over a network connection. The process begins when an analog video signal is digitally encoded or compressed. The signal can then be transmitted using a standard protocol – TCP/IP – over any gigabit or 100BaseT Ethernet network.

Add video surveillance and security monitoring capabilities and you’ve got an IP video security solution. Not all IP video surveillance systems, however, are created alike.

Intellex IP provides all the powerful yet easy to use features of our Intellex DVMS solution in an IP-based platform, features that help you catch more significant events while watching less video. And the proprietary compression scheme – ACC (Active Content Compression) – used by all Intellex systems is up to 291% more efficient than MPEG-4 and even more efficient than other common compression schemes. Bottom line: you conserve a lot more bandwidth and storage space than is possible with other NVRs.

If you already have an investment in Intellex systems, Network Client Remote Management software allows you to seamlessly integrate Intellex IP into your existing system.
